Driefasige asynchrone motoren uit de Y/Y2/YE2/YE3-serie zijn gebaseerd op het nieuwste rendementsniveau van IEC60034-30. Ze worden voornamelijk gebruikt voor gereedschapsmachines, luchtblazer/ ventilator, pomp, compressor, transportmachines, bouwmachines, enz.
