Productbeschrijving
CONSTANTAN-strip met matige weerstand en lage temperatuurcoëfficient van weerstand met een vlakke weerstand/temperatuurcurve over een breder bereik dan de „manganinen”. CONSTANTAN vertoont ook een betere corrosiebestendigheid dan de mangaan. Het gebruik ervan is doorgaans beperkt tot ac-circuits.
 CONSTANTAN is ook het negatieve element van het thermokoppel type J, waarbij ijzer het positieve is; thermokoppels van type J worden gebruikt in warmtebehandelingstoepassingen. Ook is het het negatieve element van het type T thermokoppel met OFHC Copper het positieve; thermokoppels van het type T worden gebruikt bij cryogene temperaturen.
