Basiseigenschappen en -toepassingen van Red 18:
60 ºC in de oplosbaarheid in water van 30 g/L. Het sterke zwavelzuur tot rood lichtgeel , verdund in rood. Acrylverven met donkerrood licht in wolfraamgloeidraad is donker. In 120 ºC hoge temperatuur verven, gekleurd licht onveranderd. De kleurstofoplossing mag niet koken. Compatibiliteitswaarde van drie, de f-waarde is 0.39. Voornamelijk gebruikt voor kleurkleurkleurstof acryl, ook gebruikt voor direct printen van acrylstof.
