1x(2,4...128) of 2x(2,4...128) (Micro: Geen connector, SC / UPC, SC / APC..., FC optioneel) , Planar lightwave circuit (PLC) .  De splitter is een optisch energiebeheerapparaat dat is vervaardigd met behulp van optische waveguide-technologie van silicium, die wordt gebruikt om optische signalen van het Central Office (CO) naar meerdere locaties te distribueren.  Dit is het resultaat van de miniaturisatie van de tape-separator. Het wordt voornamelijk gebruikt voor diverse aansluitingen en distributiekasten of netwerkkasten.
