1.papierindustrie: Deze wordt voornamelijk gebruikt als vloeibaar kationisch etherificatie-agens en wordt massaal gebruikt in cellulose-, cellulosederivaten- en zetmeeltransformatie. Wanneer men met zetmeel reageert, kan het kationisch zetmeel produceren, dat kan worden gebruikt als papier-interne bindmiddel, papierversterker, en verpakking en fijne cellulose-interceptie-hulpmiddelen
2.Textielindustrie: Vloeibaar kationisch etherificatie-middel CHPTAC reageert met katoenvezels en verbetert zo de verlijming van de kleurstof; en produceert kationisch zetmeel bij het reageren met zetmeel, dat kan worden gebruikt als kromtrekken-middel.
