Glazen blok (ook wel glazen baksteen genoemd), wordt als twee aparte platen gemaakt terwijl het glas nog steeds gesmolten is, de twee stukken worden aan elkaar geperst en gegloeid.

Door het holle midden is het glazen blok veel lichtere tham metselstenen en is het goed om in de gordijnwand te worden aangebracht.
