Beschrijving

Ethyleenglycol

1.wordt gebruikt als antivriesmiddel in de koelvloeistof, bijvoorbeeld in auto's en airconditioningsystemen.

2. Gebruikt als ontdooivloeistof voor windschermen en vliegtuigen, als antivries in automotoren.
3. Gebruikt als belangrijke voorloper van polyestervezels en -harsen.
4. Wordt in de gasindustrie gebruikt om waterdamp uit gas te verwijderen voordat deze verder wordt verwerkt.
5. Wordt gebruikt om de vorming van gasclatraat (hydraten) te remmen.
