Chloroquine fosfaat is een fosfaatzout van chloroquine.  Het behoort tot de klasse van aminokinoline drugs die als antimalarials en amebiciden worden gebruikt.

Toepassing&functie

 

Chloroquine difosfaat zout wordt gebruikt om de rol van endosomale verzuring in cellulaire processen te bestuderen, zoals het signaleren van intracellulaire TLR's.  Het kan worden gebruikt als DNA-intercalator & om antigeen-antilichamencomplexen te dissociëren zonder rode bloedcelantigenen te denatureren.  Chloroquine toonde een zeer hoge antivirale activiteit tegen NIV, maar zeer weinig activiteit tegen de andere virussen bij concentraties lager dan 20 μm.
Standaard anti-malariageneesmiddel.  Substraat voor MRP in multidrug resistente cellijn en remt fotoaffiniteit-etikettering van MRP door op kinoline gebaseerde fotoactieve drug IAAQ
antimalarial, antiamebisch, antireuma, interkalerend middel.
