TYPE T (Copper VS CONSTANTAN)  wordt gebruikt of gebruikt in oxiderende, inerte of reducerende atmosferen of in vacuüm. Het is zeer bestendig tegen corrosie door vocht en condensatie in de atmosfeer en vertoont een hoge stabiliteit bij lage temperaturen. Het is het enige type met foutgrenzen die gegarandeerd zijn voor cryogene temperaturen.
