1. M-Cresol kan worden gebruikt als kleurstof van kleurenfilm. En het kan ook worden gebruikt bij de productie van pesticiden zoals pyrroboron, thiofhosphorus sesquimide, inuline dichloorfenylether, hars en plasticizer, etc.  

2. M-Cresol kan worden gebruikt als analytisch reagens en als tussenproduct in organische synthese.
