Gebruik	Spiramycine is een macrolide antibioticum. Het wordt gebruikt voor de behandeling van toxoplasmose en diverse andere infecties van zachte weefsels. Hoewel spiriramycine in Europa, Canada en Mexico wordt gebruikt, wordt het in de Verenigde Staten nog steeds beschouwd als een experimenteel medicijn, maar kan het soms met speciale toestemming van de FDA worden verkregen voor toxoplasmose in het eerste trimester van de zwangerschap.
