Snel te maken schakelmechanisme met snelle uitschakelfunctie in combinatie met een omgekeerde uitschakelfunctie van het tijdselement en een tripvrij handvat. Vermogenschakelaars van het type CH schakelen uit naar DE UITGESCHAKELDE stand, waardoor hinderlijke terugbeloproepen worden voorkomen. De CHF -familie bevat ook een trip-vlag om onderscheid te maken tussen een trip en de onderbreker die wordt uitgeschakeld. De thermisch-magnetische uitschakelcurve voorkomt hinderlijke uitschakeling bij milde overbelasting, terwijl deze vrijwel onmiddellijk reageert op ernstige kortsluitingscondities . Meerpolige stroomonderbrekers hebben een interne gemeenschappelijke uitschakelverbinding om alle Polen gelijktijdig te bedienen. Handgrepen zijn gemarkeerd met AAN-UIT -indicatie en ampèrewaarde van de stroomonderbreker.
