PLC-splitters (Planar Lightwave circuits) worden ontwikkeld met behulp van golfgeleidingcircuits van silica-glas en uitgelijnde glasvezelpigtails, geïntegreerd in een miniatuurpakket. PLC-splitters bieden een goedkope oplossing voor optische signaaldistributie, met een kleine vormfactor en een uitstekende betrouwbaarheid.

 

De PLC's hebben standaardconfiguraties 1x4, 1x8, 1x16 en 1x32, evenals aangepaste structuren van 2x4, 2x32 en 2x64. Deze producten voldoen aan de vereisten voor de betrouwbaarheidskwalificatie Telcordia GR-1209-CORE en GR-1221-CORE.
